The Mauka Man’s “mauka” has finally arrived after Pakistan easily defeated India in the T20 World Cup opening game. It was an extremely long wait for the Pakistan National Cricket team to defeat India in a World Cup game and it came to an end at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday. Not only did the Babar and team defeat India but they dominated the match right from the start of their bowling innings and after that, they batted extremely well and didn’t give India a chance to fight back
“Mauka Man”, the emblematic character in the Star Sports Ad, was shown eagerly waiting for Pakistan to defeat India in a World Cup game since the 1992 World Cup but was left heartbroken every single time. However, as Pakistan defeated India for the first time in the World Cup in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 the “Mauka Man” was shown bursting firecrackers in happiness.
With the Babar Azam-led Pakistan finally winning over India in a World Cup encounter, this could even possibly be the last advertisement of the famous “Mauka Mauka” series which is featured on star sports . The video of this small clip in which this protagonist could be seen happily celebrating Pakistan’s win was shared on the broadcasters Star Sports social media with the caption written as, “Well Played Pakistan.”

Earlier a video of the Pakistan fans chanting “Mauka Mauka”- the very slogan which had been used to remind them of the record India has in worldcup games over Pakistan- after Pakistan won comprehensively at the Dubai International Stadium had gone viral on the internet.
Pakistan thrash India in the T20 World Cup opener
The win meant a lot to the fans of Pakistan as they never had felt the happiness to defeat India in a World Cup game. Even Babar Azam’s father was seen shedding tears of joy after the thrilling victory over the Men in blue. Along with Babar who scored an unbeaten 68 and Mohammad Rizwan who scored 78 notout they were remained unseparated till the end and returned to the pavilion only after they had taken their side to a compressive victory, Shaheen Shah Afridi was the stand out performer picking the Man of the Match Award.
The left-arm pacer was perhaps the one who set the tone of the match in his first spell itself as he dismissed Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul in his first spell and returned to dismiss Virat Kohli in the death over. Pakistan are set to meet New Zealand later on Tuesday. While India’s second match, also against the Black Caps, is scheduled to be held on October 31 at the Dubai International Stadium
