The ICC Men’s U-19 World Cup has given a platform to many youngsters over the years. Players like Babar Azam, Virat Kohli and Kane Williamson, who made their first impression in the age-group World Cup, have gone on to become stars.

India is the most successful team in the history of the tournament having won the tournament 4 times. Meanwhile, Bangladesh are the defending champions, who defeated India in the final in the last edition.

The ICC Men’s U-19 World Cup 2022 is set to start on January 14th in the West Indies. The tournament will feature 16 teams divided into 4 groups. It will be played in the Round Robin knockout format with 48 matches to be played across the Caribbean. The finals will be played at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua on 5th February 2022.

New Zealand U-19 Team has pulled out from the tournament Amid COVID-19 concerns with Scotland replacing them in the tournament. On the other hand, Afghanistan have successfully obtained the necessary visas for travel and will arrive in the West Indies and undergo its required quarantine period.
