Javed Miandad, a legend of Pakistan cricket, believes that the PCB shouldn’t send its team to India for the ODI World Cup 2023 unless the BCCI also sends a team to Pakistan.
The exciting World Cup match between Pakistan and India is scheduled to take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 15 according to the preliminary schedule created by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
However, the 66-year-old former captain believes it is now India’s turn to pay it forward by touring Pakistan.
For the 50-over Asia Cup, India last travelled to Pakistan in 2008

“Pakistan visited India in 2012 and even in 2016; now it’s the Indians’ turn to visit us,” said Miandad.
“If I had to choose, I would never travel to India to compete in a game, not even the World Cup. India is always willing to play, but they never do so in the same way.”
“Cricket is bigger in Pakistan. We continue to create talented athletes. Because of this, I don’t think it will matter to us whether we visit India or not”, he continued.
Due to ongoing geopolitical tensions between the two countries, bilateral cricket relations have been suspended since that time.
According to Miandad, “politics and sports should not be mixed.”
“I always say that since one cannot choose their neighbors. It is preferable to live in harmony with one another.”
“I’ve always said that cricket can end miscommunications and animosities between nations by bringing people together”, the man said.
Miandad launched a new attack after Pakistan was forced to host the upcoming Asia Cup using a hybrid model with India playing all of their matches in Sri Lanka.
Miandad, a vocal critic of India, didn’t like this decision.
“It was expected that they would once again not send their team to Pakistan for the Asia Cup. So it is time we also take a strong stance now,” he said.
