Team India is set to take on Australia in a three-match T20I series slated to start on September 20. The first match of the series will be played at the PCA IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali.
The series will play as a preparation ground for both teams with an eye on the ICC T20 World Cup scheduled to take place in Australia, starting next month. India have some work to do after their Super 4 exit in the recently concluded Asia Cup 2022 in the UAE.
Australia, who are the reigning T20 champions, will be without star opener David Warner. They will also miss a few first XI players due to injuries. However, the tourists are confident of putting up a good show against India, who are almost close to unbeatable at home.
