KL Rahul displayed an epic performance in the 1st ODI match against Australia, as he led his side to win comfortably in the match. He scored a terrific knock of 75 runs from 91 balls at a strike rate of 82.4

KL Rahul has been facing criticism from cricket experts, and fans for a long time due to his inconsistent performance and has been facing backlash, finding not a place in the team.

Rahul just scored 18 runs in the 2nd test match, as he failed consecutively in both innings and could not play for a long time. He was dismissed by Nathan Lyon both times.

KL Rahul lost his vice-captaincy due to the poor performance played in the 2nd innings of the test between India and Australia. Sunil Shetty when asked about Rahul’s performance after his heroic match-winning innings vs Australia in the 1st ODI remarks “It doesn’t matter when god is with you no matter what some outsider says”.

However, KL Rahul crumbled in the 2nd ODI match against Australia as he managed to score just 9 runs off 12 deliveries as the Indian side failed as a batting unit and could manage to put up a target of just 118 runs for the Aussies.

It would be interesting to watch whether the men in blue can make a good comeback or fall at the hands of Australia’s lethal bowling line-ups. The 3rd ODI match between the Indian side and Australia will be played in Chennai on 22nd March 2023.
