Team India batter Suryakumar Yadav is known for his unorthodox, yet stunning cricketing shots. He showcased his repertoire of shots during the ongoing T20I series against Australia. His two sixes off Nathan Ellis during the third T20I on Tuesday, November 28 at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati left everyone amazed.
Suryakumar Yadav walked out to bat at Number 4 for Team India, following Ishan Kishan’s dismissal. He took the attack to the opposition. In the fifth over, Suryakumar Yadav slammed Nathan Ellis for a cheeky six. The pacer bowled a length deliver, and the batter used the pace of the ball and paddled it over a long leg.
In the same over, Suryakumar Yadav smashed a leg-stump half-volley for a six. He got inside the line of the ball and whipped it over long leg. The Indian skipper slammed five boundaries and two sixes in the innings. He was dismissed for 39 runs from 29 deliveries, at a strike rate of 134.48.

Ravichandran Ashwin hails Suryakumar Yadav’s scoop
Veteran India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is in awe of Suryakumar Yadav’s batting. He hailed the swashbuckling cricketer’s six off Nathan Ellis in the third T20I on Tuesday, November 28 at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. He took to ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) to praise the shot. Ravichandran Ashwin wrote,
“I have watched him play this shot so many times but the thrill it gives me while I watch it is the same every single time. #incredible #indvsaust20”
Suryakumar Yadav is the second-leading run-scorer in the T20I series so far. He has slammed 138 runs in three innings at an average of 46. He won the Player of the Match award in the first game for his brilliant knock of 80 runs. Overall, the Indian batter has scored 1979 runs in 53 T20I innings, at an average of 46.02 and a strike rate of 172.54. He has three centuries and 16 fifties in the format.
