Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Mohammed Siraj, and Kuldeep Yadav made a comeback to the Indian playing 11 after sitting out a few games in the series. All-rounder Washington Sundar also got an opportunity instead of Ravichandran Ashwin. India is expected to reveal the World Cup’s definitive squad in the near future.

Smith walked back to the pavilion when Mohammed Siraj had him LBW for 74 from 61 balls. The challenging weather conditions affected his focus. In the first ODI in Mohali, he scored 41, but in the recent second ODI in Indore, he was out for a golden duck.

Australia’s captain, Pat Cummins, chose to bat first after winning the toss, and openers David Warner and Mitchell Marsh provided a strong start. The left-handed Warner scored 56 from 34 deliveries before Prasidh Krishna dismissed him.
