Shubman Gill after scoring a defining 52 in the first innings was dismissed for only 1 in the second innings in Kanpur against New Zealand. India, meanwhile are struggling at the very start on day four having lost both Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane in the first session.

He was identically dismissed by Kyle Jamieson in both the innings. The ball went through the gap between bat and ball. Gill also was perhaps beaten by the pace and movement of the delivery. The height of Jamieson has created a lot of trouble for the Indian batsmen.

Meanwhile, people on Twitter were all over Gill after he was dismissed cheaply in the second innings. From criticising his technique to calling him an overrated opener, the microblogging site was venting their anger back at him.
