The Indian fan who paid for the Indian cricketer’s lunch in Melbourne has now come out apologising to the Indian fans after being mercilessly attacked on the social media for posting the incident on Twitter. The Cricket Australia and BCCI are currently investigating a potential bio bubble breach by Rohit Sharma, Navdeep Saini, Rishabh Pant, Shubman Gill and Prithvi Shaw after images of the cricketers dining out the bio bubble surfaced on social media.

It all started when a fan tweeted about him paying the food bill of the Indian cricketers after he spotted them dining at a restaurant. The fan, by the name of Navaldeep Singh, paid their $118 bill at Secret Kitchen Chinese restaurant at Chadstone Shopping Centre which he was seen flaunting on Twitter.

The topic escalated when Navaldeep Singh further tweeted saying Rishabh Pant hugged him which sparked a debate on the social media if the Indian players have violated protocols with a potential bio bubble breach in Melbourne. This led to Cricket Australia and BCCI launch an investigation on the matter wherein the 5 Indian players in question were isolated from the rest of the Indian squad.

The Indian fan later tweeted saying he is getting abused by fans on social media. In distraught the fan further went on to say how his ‘fanboy moment with the Indian cricketers’ turned him against the people of the country and really hopes that everything turns back to normal very soon.

Meanwhile, another news has surfaced from the Indian setup as the side is said to be reluctant to travel to Brisbane for the fourth test vs Australia.
