The second Test between Pakistan and New Zealand kickstarted at the Hagley Oval wherein Naseem Shah’s hilarious words has taken the social media by a storm. The visiting side after having lost the toss were asked to bat first by the Black Caps skipper Kane Williamson. The deck seemed flat with less amount of grass on the offering for the pacers, the Pakistan side was bundled out for a mere 297 by the end of the first day.
Both sides came into this match after the 1st test between New Zealand and Pakistan went down to the wire. Pakistan roughly needed 150 runs in the final session with more than 5 wickets in hand, but little did anyone expect that Pakistan’s batting line up would collapse like a deck of cards. It was New Zealand’s Mitchell Santner who gave them the final breakthrough as he dismissed Mohammed Naseem with 5 overs to go in the day.
‘Abbas Bhai, aapko pata bhi hai sari zimedaari mere uper hai’ – Naseem Shah
Just like the first test, Pakistan missed the services of their leadership group of Babar Azam and Shadab Khan in the second test, which meant Mohammed Rizwan had to continue to fulfil its commitments as the stand-in skipper of the side.
In all this, it was Naseem Shah’s hilarious conversation with Mohammed Abbas that took social media by a storm. During the 83rd over of the day, Naseem Shah urged Mohammed Abbas to take a single so Naseem can take the strike since he’s a slightly better batsman than Abbas.
The hilarious conversation happened in Urdu which was caught on the stump mic and it took social media by a storm. Naseem Shah told Abbas that the entire batting responsibility is on himself which is why he should take a single otherwise they’d receive a pounding from the team management.
“Abbas bhai, Abbas bhai, aapko pata bhi hai sari zimedaari mere uper hai. Single karna hai warna daant par jayegi,” Naseem Shah said.
