Former Australia fast bowler Brett Lee has come out with all praise for the Indian fast bowling unit. He feels that the likes of Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umesh Yadav can win matches for India anywhere in the world.

The factor that will determine their dominance is whether & how the ball swings at different venues. The current pace attack is one of the best India have ever produced. They have played significant roles in India’s dominant run in the last couple of years.

“India have got some extremely good pace bowlers that are capable of knocking over any top order. Once again, I think it comes down to how the ball will swing or not swing in different conditions (Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney),” Lee told PTI.

India will be touring Australia later this year for a Test series. Brett Lee thinks that despite India playing Australia in Australia, Indian bowlers will dominate the opposition. If Australia have any chance of winning then their bowlers hold key. As they will need to bowl out the Indian batsmen packed with star batsmen.

“Playing at home obviously gives you that advantage, but that said I know that India will pack a full-strength squad to tour Australia. I still believe if Australia is to win our bowlers hold the key,” said Brett Lee

Brett Lee also spoke about the saliva ban laid out by the ICC in view of the COVID-19 pandemic. He definitely feels that with no saliva, the way cricket was played will change drastically. Since saliva is needed to keep the new ball shiny and helps in making the old ball reverse.

“It will definitely change the way the game is played so we don’t want to make it even harder for bowlers even more than it is currently is, Essentially you do need saliva to keep the new ball shiny and also the old ball to reverse swing,” added Brett Lee.
