The Indian women’s team for the 3-match ODI and 3 T20I match series against Australian women has been announced. It promises to be an exciting series between the top two powerhouses of World cricket.
Harmanpreet Kaur will lead both ODI and T20I squads. The three One-day international matches will be played at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on 28th December, 30th December and 2nd January. All these matches are a part of the ICC ODI World Championship 2022-25. The Indian team has qualified as the 2025 World Cup will be played in India.

Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Varma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Harmanpreet Kaur (C), Deepti Sharma, Yastika Bhatia, Richa Ghosh (WK), Amanjot Kaur, Shreyanka Patil, Mannat Kashyap, Saika Ishaque, Renuka Singh Thakur, Titas Sadhu, Pooja Vastkar, Sneha Rana, Harleen Deol.
After the ODI series, the Indian women’s team will face Australia in the 3 T20I match series to be played at DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai on the 5th, 7th, and 9th of January. Renuka Singh Thakur would make a comeback into the squad. The Indian team played their T20I match in the Asian Games and would be looking to prove their worth against a strong Australian side.
The Indian team lost the T20I series to England by 1-2 and hopes to gain confidence ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024 that will take place in Bangladesh.

The youngsters would be hoping for a great performance in both series and stake a claim in the World Cup squad to be played in Bangladesh.
