India will take on New Zealand in the 3rd and deciding One day international to be played at Green Park Stadium, Kanpur tomorrow. At Pune, Virat Kohli led side made a strong comeback outplaying the Kiwis in all departments to level the series at 1-1.

New Zealand won the toss and elected to bat first at Pune. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah made early breakthroughs reducing the visitors to 31 for 3. All the Indian bowlers did not allow the New Zealand batsmen to score runs with ease and restricted them to just 230 for 9 in 50 over’s. Yuzvendra Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah picked 2 wickets, Axar Patel picked 1 wicket and Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the pick of a bowler taking 3 for 45.

While batting Shikhar Dhawan came back into form with 68. Dinesh Karthik remained not out on 64. Kohli scored 29, Hardik Pandya 30 helped team India win the match by 6 wickets with 24 balls to spare.

New Zealand lost early wickets with Martin Guptill, Colin Munro and captain Kane Williamson dismissed cheaply in the first 10 overs. Ross Taylor, Tom Latham, Henry Nicholls, Collin de Grandhomme scored runs but could not convert those small scores into big ones. The visitors posted a modest 230 for 9 in 50 overs.

While bowling, only four bowlers took wickets and could not trouble the Indian batsmen. It was a dominating performance by Virat Kohli led side who showed their class after a shocking loss in the first One day international at Mumbai.

The 3rd One day international between India and New Zealand promises to be an exciting one. Virat Kohli would be looking to bring Kuldeep Yadav in replace of Axar Patel. Rohit Sharma has not performed well in the series so far and eager to perform his best in deciding match. All the batsmen and bowlers need to play with positive intent.

Trent Boult and Tim Southee have done well with the new ball. If New Zealand has to defeat India then they have to play their best cricket. While batting, the top 3 batsmen need to score big runs to put pressure on Indian batting line up. They might bring Ish Sodhi on their side.

The last ODI Match played at this ground was between India and South Africa in 2015. India would be looking to win 7th successive bilateral series win.
