INDvWI: BCCI Announces Replacement For Injured Shardul Thakur in ODI Squad

Shardul Thakur made his test debut in the second test match against at Hyderabad. He suffered a groin injury and went off the field just bowling 10 balls. He has ruled out the match but batted with Ravichandran Ashwin for 10th wicket adding 28 runs.

Shardul Thakur suffered a right adductor tendon injury. Umesh Yadav who was superb in the 2nd test match against West Indies taking 10 wickets in the match came to the occasion and dismantled West Indies batting line up with reverse swing abilities.

Umesh Yadav has been named as a replacement for the injured Shardul Thakur. The first two One day internationals to be played against West Indies will be played on 21st October at Guwahati and 2nd One day international on 24th October at Vizag.
