The IPL 2020 league stage is over and done with, with MI, DC, RCB and SRH being the four teams to make the playoffs. Mumbai Indians won the first qualifier against Delhi Capitals, while SRH beat RCB in the eliminator. SRH will now play DC in the second qualifier for a place in the finals.

Meanwhile, there were a few trades which turned out to be big mistakes in the competition. Here is a look at 5 IPL trades that went completely wrong in the IPL.

Delhi Capitals released Trent Boult to Mumbai Indians ahead of IPL 2020. He took 23 wickets in 19 matches at an economy rate of 8.78 for Delhi in his two-year stint with them. Delhi had purchased him for INR 2.2 crores in the auction, while Mumbai offered him another crore to seal the tempting deal.

With Boult and Rabada Delhi had a fearsome new-ball pair which was broken open after Capitals released him. However, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise for MI for who he has picked up 22 wickets so far.
