Chris Gayle has recovered from his stomach bug and is all set to make a comeback into the team for Kings XI Punjab in their next game. Punjab have lost six out of their first seven games and need no less than a miraculous turnaround to reach the playoffs of IPL 2020.

Punjab play Bangalore, Gayle’s former franchise in Sharjah in a must-win clash for KL Rahul and his men. Kings XI’s only win in this season so far have come against the RCB. They beat Virat Kohli’s men by 97 runs in Dubai when the teams met for the first time in this season.

Meanwhile, Kings XI Punjab’s Twitter handle shared a video of the Universe Boss announcing his arrival for the team in red.

“To all the fans out there, the wait is over. The Universe Boss is back. I know you all have been waiting for such a long time, the wait is over. Unless something drastic happens to the Universe Boss again, which I hope not,” Chis Gayle said in the video.

Chris Gayle further said that a turnaround is possible and asked his teammates to have belief in themselves. Kings XI can win all seven games, said the Universe Boss. Currently, they toil at the end of the points table with only one win from seven games.

“You know, it is still possible. I know we are at the bottom of the points table but it is still possible. Seven games to go, we believe we can win all seven. I urge each and every one of the guys to still have the self-belief. The only way we can go is up. It is only up from here. So we gonna do it, we can do it,” Chris Gayle said.

Kings XI skipper KL Rahul is under the pump at the moment for playing with a slow strike-rate in the games that Punjab has lost so far. However, the right-hander has played down the strike-rate aspect of his game, whenever he has been asked about it.
