2. Prithvi Shaw
The young gun opening batter who made his test debut for India last year against West Indies didn’t live up to the high expectations this season. This season has by far been the worst season for Shaw as he managed just 228 runs across 13 innings which just includes two fifties.
There came a point in the tournament when Shaw was replaced by Rahane as the opener alongside Shikhar Dhawan. Ahead of the 2021 Auctions, the capitals might just not consider retaining the batsman since they have sufficient openers in the side in the form of Carey, Rahane and Dhawan.
