In this year’s Indian Premier League we have already seen plenty of drama from high scoring affairs to some of the best teams toppling under pressure to some teams rising from the bottom this year. Out and all, this season has so far been a delight to all the fans out thereafter a dreadful start to the 2020 year.
Talking about the cricket played in this season, as we all know the pitches this year where the matches are being played offer more assistance to the spinners than the pacers. Which is why we see a lot of teams playing as far as three spinners in their side.
There has been plenty of shocking turnover of events as well this year, from Royal Challengers Bangalore lying in top four to Chennai Super Kings struggling this season to get things right has surprised many of us. The Virat Kohli led RCB side have been phenomenal this season, winning three of out the five games this season.
All these wins coming after Kohli not being in the best of the best nicks this season. In the 5 matches RCB have played this season, Virat Kohli has managed only one fifty to his name. Which shows how combined the teamwork of RCB has been this season with more than 8-9 players from the side performing and contributing to the team’s success this season.

Yuzvendra Chahal Has Been Brilliant For RCB – Gautam Gambhir
Former Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Gautam Gambhir who has led KKR to two titles has praised the performance of Royal Challengers Bangalore leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal. He feels the leg spinner has been brilliant for the Bangalore based franchise this season.
Gautam Gambhir is of the opinion that we fail to talk more about Chahal since we keep praising the likes of Kagiso Rabada, Pat Cummins etc.
“Yuzvendra Chahal has been brilliant. We keep talking about Rashid Khan, Jofra Archer, Kagiso Rabada, Pat Cummins; but Chahal in IPL, especially in this season, has been right up there. We should be talking about Chahal much more. There is more hype around other bowlers. But he has done brilliantly for RCB,” Gautam Gambhir said while speaking to ESPNCricinfo.
Gautam Gambhir is not wrong here since Yuzvendra Chahal has so far been the standout player for RCB this season. In the five matches Chahal has played, he has managed to pick up eight wickets at a strike rate of 14.25. Not to forget he’s also RCB’s highest wicket-taker this season along with being one of the purple cap contenders this season.
