The Mumbai Indians are defending a total of 192 against Kings XI Punjab. The KXIP chase started superbly courtesy off their gun opening pair of Mayank Agarwal and KL Rahul.
Agarwal especially looked in sublime touch and was off to a flyer. The Mumbai Indians were under pressure and Rohit Sharma introduced his champion bowler Jasprit Bumrah. The fast bowler was given the task of breaking the formidable opening partnership of KXIP.
Jasprit Bumrah did just that as he ripped the middle stump of in form Agarwal. The fast bowler delivered an absolute thunderbolt to which the KXIP opening batsman had no clue. Agarwal was late on the stroke and was beaten by the sheer pace of Bumrah.
He tried to get his bat down in time but the ball by then sneaked through the ball and Bumrah struck the timber. The bowl swung in late and Jasprit Bumrah clean bowled Agarwal with a dream delivery.

Earlier in the match on the back of Rohit’s 70 and a blitz in the end from Pollard and Hardik Pandya helped MI post a total of 192. The destructive middle-order batsmen of MI had fun against off-spinner Krishnappa Gowtham in the 20th over and took him to the cleaners.
Meanwhile, Rohit in the first innings became only third batsmen in IPL history to reach the summit of 5000 runs. Rohit was caught at the boundary rope by Glenn Maxwell on 70 who took a breathtaking catch.
The match is currently nicely placed with KXIP still with a chance to chase down the mammoth total of MI. However, both the leading run-scorers for KXIP, Rahul and Agarwal are back in the pavilion.
