Legendary Indian women’s cricketer Mithali Raj, who will be playing in the Women’sT20 Challenge in November, has picked her favorite IPL side in this year’s tournament. In an interaction with India Today, the former Indian skipper picked Sunrisers Hyderabad as one of her favorites. However, when it comes to backing an IPL side to win the title, she said Rajasthan Royals is her top team.

Raj, who hails from Rajasthan herself, has a soft corner for the Men in Pink. They won two games back to back, however, has lost a bit of gas in the tournament since.

“My favourites are Sunrisers Hyderabad but my top team would be Rajasthan Royals as they have been doing very well in IPL 2020,” Mithali Raj said.

Both of Mithali’s choices are fighting it out mid-table willing to go up the points table. While Sunrisers lost their last game against Mumbai Indians, RCB got the better of the Royals in their last game.

Mithali Raj Backs Virat Kohli’s RCB To Do Good Things in IPL 2020

Speaking of RCB, the former Indian skipper feels that given the mental space that ViratKohli is in, RCB has the chance to make history in this year’s IPL as well.

“For him, a lot of things have been happening on the personal front, very good things. I am sure this will rub off on his professional life too. When you are in a very happy space, it is very natural for a player to perform. I am sure he will continue to perform in the coming season,” Mithali Raj told India Today.

After a string of low scores to start his IPL 2020 season, Virat Kohli bounced back into form with an unbeaten 72 against Raj’s favorite team of the tournament.

Mithali Raj will be a part of the Women’s T20 challenge 2020, where she will be leading the Velocity. The other two teams are Harmanpreet Kaur’s Supernovas and Smriti Mandhana’s Trailblazers.
