Well, it was just a matter of time before Virat Kohli ‘the batsman’ took centre stage in IPL 2020. Before today Kohli had not been himself and was grappling to score runs. An out of form Kohli is a rare sight for all his countless fans but we all knew it was a matter of time before he clicked.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper led the charge in the run chase against Rajasthan Royals and score a well-compiled half-century. After the match, the shutterbugs got a priceless moment when Kohli gifted his autographed RCB jersey to Rahul Tewatia.

Soon after the conclusion of the match, Tewatia was given be prized possession by Kohli at Abu Dhabi and was expectedly ecstatic. The Royals all-rounder Tewatia has himself emerged as a real star in IPL 2020. He has fascinated everyone with both bat and ball in the tournament.

Even against RCB, Tewatia tried his level best in the death overs and played a quickfire knock.

Meanwhile, Kohli is the second half of the match looked determined to score match-winning innings. Initially, the legendary batsman took his time and allowed the youngster Devdutt Padikkal to flourish.

When the time arrives for Kohli to up the ante he played some of his vintage strokes. Not only his stroke but also his intelligent running between the wickets in the extreme heat of Abu Dhabi left everyone in awe.

Furthermore, this is now RCB’s 3rd win of the season which has now made them table toppers in IPL 2020. Rajasthan Royals on the other hand after winning their first two match suffered two back to back defeats outside Sharjah.
