Ben Stokes is an asset for his side whether he’s batting, fielding or even in the field. The quality all-rounder over the years has taken some outstanding jaw-dropping catches in his career. Be it the inner circle or at the boundary rope, Stokes often time defies gravity and pulls of
splendid catches.

Today in the very first over between Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab, Stokes held on to a stunning catch. It was all action in the first over of Jofra Archer who bowled with pace and accuracy. Even the leading run-getter of the season, KL Rahul looked uneasy against him in the first 4 balls.

Ben Stokes Takes Brilliant Diving Catch

On the second last Rahul stole a quick single that brought Mandeep Singh on strike. Next ball Archer produced a pacey bouncer to which Mandeep had no clue. The ball bounced awkwardly for Mandeep and he tried to ride the bounce of the delivery. However, he was unsuccessful as the ball lobbed in the direction of Stokes.

The gun fielder was placed at the backward point which is usually given to the best fielder of the side. As soon as Stokes saw the ball in the air he quickly made ground and unleashed a full stretched dive to take a fine match. Eventually, Stokes made the catch look fairly simple and had a relaxed celebration after completing it.
