Padikkal 50 Backed Up by AB De Villiers
However, by the time he was dismissed, AB De Villiers scored his first fifty of the season and RCB was well placed at 162-4. Shivam Dube was the last RCB batsman to get dismissed as Bangalore finished on 163 for 5.
Meanwhile, Karnataka batsman Devdutt Padikkal scored his maiden fifty in his IPL debut. It was due to their 50’s that RCB was able to post a decent total on the board. RCB skipper Virat Kohli was out for just 14 off 13 balls.
The Sunrisers bowlers pulled back the scoring rate after the dismissal of Padikkal and then Kohli. However, with De Villiers’ late blitz, they find themselves in a good chance to defend the target.
Earlier in the game, Sunrisers skipper David Warner won the toss and opted to field first. SRH are ahead in the head to head count in this rivalry by 8-6.
