IPL COO Hemang Amin has written a letter to the players addressing the situation during this tough pandemic time and confirmed that BCCI will do everything to make sure they reach home safely. The cases have been rising and are at their peak. Five international players have left the bio bubble and have reached home to avoid the risk if the countries stop the Indian flights.
The players are adhering to the strict protocols set by BCCI. They are getting tested every second day and the bio bubble is made very strong to keep the tournament going. The deliveries from hotels have been stopped and the food for the players has been arranged separately. It is difficult for the players to be taking part in a tournament of the highest quality and also be aware of what is happening with the country and the families.
“We understand that many of you are apprehensive about how you will get back home once the tournament concludes, which is natural and understandable. We want to apprise you that you have nothing to worry about. The BCCI will do everything to ensure that you reach your respective destinations seamlessly.”
“The BCCI is monitoring the situation very closely and is working with the government authorities to make arrangements to get you home once the tournament concludes. Be rest assured that the tournament is not over for BCCI till each one of you has reached your home, safe and sound,” Hemang Amin wrote.
Bio Bubble strengthened – Hemang Amin
Hemang Amin informed the players about strengthening the bio bubble to keep the players safe and healthy. In order to increase safety, the testing has been changed to every two days instead of every five days to be extra vigilant. BCCI is doing its best to ensure the safety of all the players taking part in the mega event.
In order to allay any apprehensions and concerns, we are further strengthening our bio-secure environments to keep everyone involved in the tournament safe and healthy.
“Recently, we increased testing in our bio-bubbles to be extra vigilant. Instead of the stipulated test every five days, we now conduct a test every two days,” Amin wrote.
