Brett Lee is the latest Australian after Pat Cummins to donate towards the COVID relief fund and put forward his contribution in the process. After Cummins donated a sum of donates $50,000 to the ‘PM Cares Fund’ so that the patients can buy oxygen, Lee has donated 1 Bitcoin to Crypto Relief fund for the supply of oxygen cylinders across hospitals for COVID-19 treatment. Meanwhile, rumours are on the rise that the Australian contingent in the IPL are willing to go back home amid these times of crisis.
However, Cricket Australia, in their latest report has said that all the Aussie players are intent on staying back till the entire season is over. Meanwhile, Brett Lee took to Twitter to let his fans know about his modest contribution towards beating COVID.
“India has always been like a second home for me. The love and affection that I have got from the people of this country both during my professional career and even after my retirement, holds a special place in my heart,” wrote Brett Lee on Twitter.
“It saddens me deeply to see people suffering due to the ongoing pandemic. I feel privileged to be in a position of making a difference and with that in mind, I’d like to donate 1 BTC (Bitcoin) (Around 41 Lakh INR) to Crypto Relief to help with the purchase of oxygen supplies for the hospitals across India. www.cryptorelief.in,” he further wrote.
