The two sides had polar opposite seasons in the last edition of the IPL. Delhi Capitals will be led by a new captain in Rishabh Pant. Capitals coach Ricky Ponting had said that Pant’s recent success in Australia and then England will augur him well with his captaincy. This is Pant’s very first stint as the Capitals captain. He has been with the franchise since 2016 and has been one of the vital cogs in their wheel. Pant along with Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane and Marcus Stoinis will form the batting core of the side. Steve Smith will add more stem to it as well.
