IPL 2021: Match 22 – Delhi Capitals vs Royal Challengers Bangalore – Match Prediction

It’s the clash of the titans where Royal Challengers Bangalore lock horns with Delhi Capitals at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on April 27 (Tuesday). The Virat Kohli-led side will look to bounce back from the defeat against Chennai Super Kings while Delhi will have their eyes set on the top spot of the IPL 2021 points table.

RCB have looked a better side in this tournament after addressing their problems in the auction. Although Ravindra Jadeja took Harhsal Patel for cleaners in the last game, the cricketer who was traded from Delhi Capitals has turned out to be a gem in the RCB colours. The opening pair of Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal have been pivotal with Glenn Maxwell and AB de Villiers maximising the death overs. Bangalore will look to execute their plans better and go past the Delhi challenge.

On the other hand, the addition of Axar Patel in the side proved to be the deciding factor. He bowled brilliantly in the Super Over to earn his side a crucial win in his first match of IPL 2021. However, the Rishabh Pant-led side will miss the service of senior off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, who has opted for a break amid the COVID19 crisis. Lalit Yadav is expected to fill up the void and can be handy with the bat too.

Match Prediction – Who will win the match?

With four wins apiece in five games, DC and RCB are separated by only NRR in the points table. However, Royal Challengers Bangalore have had an upper hand in head-to-head encounters winning 14 on 25 meetings while Delhi Capitals have won only on 10 matches.

It is anticipated to be a nerve-wracking encounter with both sides playing dominating cricket. However, RCB might have a bare minimum advantage going into the game.
