Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) face off each other in match 53 of IPL 2021. in the first of the two games on Thursday. It is the last league game for both the teams and for Punjab this is a must-win game. They are placed sixth on the points table with 10 points and a net run-rate of -0.241. They have to beat CSK by a huge margin and hope that a few other results go their way of they want to make it to the playoffs.
Both the teams are heading into this game on the back of losses. While CSK lost their last two games on the trot after qualifying for the playoffs, RCB got the better of the Kings in their last match. A lot is o the line for the Kings in what is a crucial last game for the side.

1) KL Rahul
Rahul and Mayank have amassed 528 and 429 runs respectively in the current edition of the Indian Premier League, none of the other batters have even reached the 200-run mark. However, against CSK, the Punjab Kings skipper does not have good numbers.
In 10 innings against the MS Dhoni-led side, Rahul has scored 297 runs with a strike rate of 125 and just three fifties to his name. In the first game between the two sides, Rahul scored just five while Mayank was out for a duck. CSK chased down 107 with overs to spare.
2) Faf Du Plessis
Du Plessis is inching closer to 500 runs in the season and has a particularly good record against Punjab Kings over the years. In 11 innings in total. he has scored 538 runs at an average of almost 60 with six fifty-plus scores.
He has scored these runs at a strike rate of almost 150 as well.
3) Dwayne Bravo
Bravo has picked up 23 wickets in 17 games against Punjab. If he gets a game tonight, he will look to better those numbers. Bravo has not played many games this season but has been an asset for CSK over the years.
He has bowled at an economy of under eight against the side and 35 percent of his balls have been dot-balls. He has shown tremendous control on his variations which have more often than not foxed opposition batsmen.
