As we inch closer, the buzz surrounding the second phase of IPL 2021 is reaching new heights. The T20 extravaganza is scheduled to take place in the UAE between September 19 to October 15. On Sunday, Star Sports announced a star-studded commentary panel for the T20 league.

Replying to users on Twitter, Star Sports named star-studded Hindi and English commentary panels. Gautam Gambhir, Irfan Ptahn, Aakash Chopra are among those in the Hindi commentary panel while Sunil Gavaskar, Kevin Peitersen, Harsha Bhogle, Murali Karthik, Ian Bishop are some prominent names in the English commentary panel.

The Hindi commentary panel also includes Mumbai Indians’ backroom staff members Parthiv Patel and Kiran More.

Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings to lock horns in the first game of second phase of IPL 2021

Defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) will go up against three-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the first game of the UAE leg of IPL 2021. The match is likely to garner a lot of buzz among the fans.

UAE is slated to host a total of 31 IPL matches from September-October. The league stage of the tournament ends on October 8, with Royal Challengers Bangalore taking on Delhi Capitals.

The first Qualifier of the tournament will be played on October 10 in Dubai. The Eliminator will take place on October 11. The losing team of the first Qualifier and winning team of Eliminator will square in the second Qualifier on October 13. The final will take place on October 15 in Dubai.
