Senior Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batsman Suresh Raina has arrived in Chennai before leaving for the UAE for the remainder of IPL 2021. The second half of the tournament will start on September 19 with defending champions Mumbai Indians locking horns with the Super Kings.

Star all-rounder Deepak Chahar has also landed in Chennai before they fly out of India for the remainder of IPL 2021. Chahar was in good form in the recently concluded limited-overs series against Sri Lanka and will hope to keep up the good job in the cash-rich league.

Sharing a picture of Chahar on Instagram, Chennai Super Kings wrote:

“Stone Paper Cherry Scissors #HomeSweetDen #WhistlePodu #Yellove”

Previously skipper MS Dhoni also arrived at their hub. The Indian contingent of Chennai Super Kings is expected to reach UAE by August 13 and start preparing for IPL 2021. As per reports, all cricketers, who are slated to leave India have tested negative for COVID-19 and will enter the bubble.

Fans were evidently happy as they will finally get to see Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni play together once again.

MS Dhoni is like a big brother to me: Suresh Raina

Suresh Raina recently spoke about the equation between him and MS Dhoni. The southpaw revealed that he has learned a lot from Dhoni after playing together for a long time. Speaking to Star Sports show Cricket Connected, the southpaw said:

“We’ve played a lot of matches for India as well as CSK. I think it’s just the emotion and on top of that we have that respect for each other. I have learned a lot from him and he is like a big brother to me.”
