The second match of Saturday’s doubleheader will see table-toppers Chennai Super Kings (CSK) go up against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. While CSK have already booked their place in the playoffs, it is a do-or-die game for the RR.
CSK have performed like a well-oiled machine in the second phase of IPL 2021 winning all their games. They have won nine out of the 11 matches to seal a berth in the top four. While the likes of Ruturaj Gaikwad and Faf du Plessis have given consistent starts, the likes of Dwayne Bravo and Ambati Rayudu have held the fort in the middle-order.

The bowling has also done exceedingly well with Deepak Chahar and Shardul Thakur leading the pack from the front. CSK will look to continue the winning run ahead of the qualifiers.
On the other hand, RR’s hope of making it to the playoffs hang by the wire as they need to win all their remaining games with a good net run rate to give themselves a chance of qualifying. The team has struggled to perform in unison with their skipper Sanju Samson doing all the scoring single-handedly.
RR will hope to come good as a unit to go past the CSK challenge and return to winning ways.
