On the final day in Ahmedabad, Gujarat Titans (GT) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) will go up against each other for the big prize at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. They have played good cricket throughout the tournament and will hope for the final hurrah.
On the batting front, the Titans have had multiple players in the middle order stand up and deliver match-winning performances. GT are making their maiden appearance in an IPL final, their captain Hardik Pandya is familiar with the stage and knows a bit about winning.
The emergence of David Miller in the middle order has been a story that has massively benefitted the Titans. On the bowling front, Mohammed Shami has produced some excellent performances while Rashid Khan has been at his best yet again.
On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals have ridden on the success of Jos Buttler – a one-man run-making machine, who has clobbered over 800 runs with four centuries in IPL 2022. However, the middle-order, barring Shimron Hetmyer, has been short of runs.
The RR bowling unit came back strongly in the last game against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) with Prasidh Krishna and Obed McCoy stepping up to the task. The spin duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal had a rare off game and will hope to put their best feet forward in the final.
