Eliminator 1 of IPL 2022 will see the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) lock horns with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Eden Gardens on Wednesday (May 25). The winner of this game will play against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Friday for a final date against the Gujarat Titans (GT) on Sunday.
RCB would bank on a rejuvenated Kohli to find his mojo in the Eliminator against LSG. Glenn Maxwell also played a whirlwind knock in their last fixture and will be brimming with confidence. In the middle order, Dinesh Karthik has acted as the fulcrum.
The Bangalore franchise would be concerned with a misfiring Mohammed Siraj. Siddarth Kaul, who replaced the misfiring Siraj in RCB’s last game, finished with unflattering figures of 0 for 43. A lot will depend on how Josh Hazlewood and Wanindu Hasaranga fare in a must-win clash.
For LSG, KL Rahul, Quinton de Kock and Deepak Hooda have done the bulk of the scoring throughout IPL 2022. They would hope for the likes of Evin Lewis, Marcus Stoinis and others to lend some heft to the middle order. The bowling unit will largely depend on Mohsin Khan, who has been a revelation this year.
