Veteran wicket-keeper batsman MS Dhoni has made an outstanding start to IPL 2022. Although his side ended on the losing side against Kolkata Knight Riders, Dhoni scored a valiant half-century to lift his side to challenging total. However, it was not enough to seal them a win as Kolkata chased down the total convincingly.
Meanwhile, on Thursday, Dhoni can rewrite history again when CSK lock horns with KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.
MS Dhoni is on the verge of completing 7,000 runs in the shortest format of the game. One of the most decorated cricketers in the history of the sport, the former CSK captain is 15 runs away from joining Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli on an elite list.

Indian batters Kohli, Rohit, Dhawan and Robin Uthappa have scored 7000-plus runs in the shortest format of the game. The 2007 World Cup winner has scored 6,985 runs in his illustrious T20 career.
Former Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper Virat Kohli has amassed 10,326 runs in T20 cricket while Mumbai Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has accumulated 9,936 runs in the same format. Punjab Kings (PBKS) opener Dhawan has 8,818 runs under his belt in T20 cricket. MS Dhoni’s CSK teammate Uthappa has smashed 7,070 runs in the shortest format.

Meanwhile, the Chennai franchise have received the Moeen Ali boost for their second IPL 2022 fixture. The English all-rounder missed the first game after his arrival was delayed due to visa issues.
The cricketer has had good hits in the training in the last couple of days and will to look hit the ground running in the tournament.
Moeen Ali will hope to inspire CSK to their maiden IPL 2022 victory.
