Delhi Capitals (DC) opener Prithvi Shaw has been discharged from the hospital on Saturday, where he was being treated for a bout of Typhoid. The franchise took to social media to announce the news.
Prithvi Shaw has joined the Delhi Capitals bio-bubble in Mumbai. He will be monitored by the medical team. Earlier this month, he was admitted to the hospital due to a high fever. The Delhi Capitals posted a statement about Prithvi Shaw’s health update.
“Delhi Capitals opener Prithvi Shaw has been discharged from the hospital where he was being treated for a bout of typhoid. Shaw has returned to the team hotel where he is currently recuperating while being monitored by the DC medical team,” the Delhi Capitals statement read.

The Delhi Capitals, however, have not specified if or when will Prithvi Shaw makes a comeback in the Indian Premier League 2022 season. He last played for the Delhi Capitals against the Lucknow Super Giants. Since then, Prithvi Shaw has missed three matches. This season, in nine matches, the opener has scored 259 runs at an average of 28.78 and at a strike rate of 159.87. His run tally includes two half-centuries.
Delhi Capitals take on Punjab Kings in a crucial encounter in Mumbai
The Delhi Capitals will take on Punjab Kings in Match 64 of the Indian Premier League 2022 season. The DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai will host the clash on Monday, May 16. The match holds great importance for both sides.
