IPL 2022: Top 10 Longest Sixes In The Tournament So Far
Longest sixes in IPL 2022

The most exciting aspect of T20 cricket is the abundance of sixes that fans get to see during the matches. Chris Gayle, MS Dhoni, Andre Russell etc. use brute strength while smashing sixes. However, six-hitting is not only about power. There are different kinds of six-hitters. The likes of Rohit Sharma, AB de Villiers, and Jos Buttler rely on timing for clearing the boundary rope.

IPL 2022 has already seen some big sixes being hit. From Liam Livingstone to 18-year old Dewald Brevis from South Africa, batters have brought out some mighty hits this season. Livingstone tops the list of longest sixes so far in the ongoing season with a 117 meter six against Gujarat Titans.

Brevis is second in the list with a 112 metres maximum against Punjab Kings. The bowler on the receiving end was Rahul Chahar. Brevis has smashed eight sixes so far in IPL 2022.

The third name on the list is once again Livingstone. He has expertise in hitting monster sixes. During his fiery knock against CSK in Match 11 of IPL 2022, Liam Livingstone dispatched a length ball from Mukesh Choudhary in the deep midwicket region. The ball travelled a distance of 108 metres. Livingstone scored 60 runs off 32 balls in the match.

The third name is Orange Cap holder Jos Buttler. Delhi Capitals seamer Shardul Thakur bowled a length ball during Match 34 of IPL 2022. The ball was in Buttler’s arc and he made no mistake in smashing a 107 m six in the mid-wicket region. The ball landed in the second-tier of Wankhede Stadium. Buttler smashed 116 runs off just 65 deliveries.
