In advance of the CSK vs. GT IPL 2023 final, Shubman Gill’s father wishes his son luck as “a proud father”.
This season, Shubman Gill’s batting has been in dazzling shape. He holds the orange cap at the moment and has scored 851 runs over 16 games. With three centuries in his last four games, Gill has been in sensational form lately.
According to Aakash Chopra, Shubman Gill has performed best in the IPL 2023 when batting first.
Aakash Chopra discussed the GT vs. CSK matchup in a video that was posted to his YouTube channel. He discussed Gill’s outstanding season performances and noted that the majority of his runs came while batting first. He uttered:
“Shubman Gill has an average that is very close to 100 if he bats first. He has scored half-centuries and more than one century here, but the majority of these runs have come while batting first”.
Chopra added the following about Gill’s track record in pursuits:
”He only scored runs against this team in the first game, but he has since scored runs as well, though his average drops to 40. When viewed from his perspective, a 40 looks lower even though it is well played for the others. However, there is a significant difference”.
