Jadeja’s 20 wickets, his highest total in a season in the competition, were crucial to CSK’s IPL title victory this year. The all-rounder acknowledged that the crowd wanted him to leave so that Dhoni could enter, which caused him some unease.
The 34-year-old would later make fun of the CSK supporters after his performance in the Qualifier 1 victory over GT.
Viswanathan quickly dispelled any rumours of a disagreement between Dhoni and Jadeja in his interview with Cricinfo. The CEO of CSK suggested that the all-rounder may have been hurt by the audience’s reaction.
“Jadeja bowled beautifully, in my opinion. Our batting lineup included Ruturaj, Conway, Moeen, and Rahane, and as a result, whenever Jadeja went to bat, he had 5–10 balls left. It may or may not click in such circumstances.”
