IPL 2023: Former CSK Star Describes MS Dhoni As A “Magician”

When Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni led his team to the IPL 2023 championship game, former Australian cricketer Mathew Hayden praised Dhoni for his leadership.

Despite having few options, particularly in the bowling unit, the 51-year-old gave the ‘Captain Cool’ credit for getting the best performances from the players.

He says: “MS is a wizard. He transforms someone else’s garbage into treasure. He is an extremely capable and upbeat captain. He said something very insightful that, in my opinion, captured not only his humility and his truth regarding cricket, where he is represented, namely in the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association but also his humility and truth in general. ”

He went on to say: “How strong the alignment is in terms of establishing that process is between that association and the franchise. That seems to be MS. To me. There is a methodical way to go through and work through things. He has performed that for both India and Chennai Super Kings.

It’s important to note that throughout this IPL season, Dhoni supported Matheesha Pathirana and Tushar Deshpande, two young players. Pathirana has taken 17 wickets in 11 games at a 7-point 72 economy rate while Deshpande has taken 21 in 15 games at a 9-point 61 economy rate.

Additionally, he made the most of Shivam Dube (386 runs in 15 games) and Ajinkya Rahane (299 from 13 matches).

“We try to create an environment and work out what is the strength of a fast bowler,” said MS Dhoni. Recently, MS Dhoni discussed the development of Matheesha Pathirana and Tushar Deshpande this season. He gave the coaching staff credit for bringing out the best in the players.

Following Qualifier 1, Dhoni said: in the post-game interview “In order to determine a fast bowler’s strengths, we try to create the right environment. We try to instill confidence in them and encourage them to experiment with their bowling. We make every effort to inspire them. Bravo and Eric are there, as well as the support staff. You observe the wicket and continually adjust the field in accordance with that. ”

At the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, May 28, CSK will now compete against the Gujarat Titans (GT), the reigning IPL champions.
