After completing his post-game presentation duties, Hardik Pandya stayed behind to support Sai Sudharsan as he approached the podium to accept the Player of the Match award. Captain Hardik, who has been leading from the front ever since he was named the franchise captain, made a lovely gesture.

He has been hitting the ball beautifully. The results of his efforts are evident. After Gujarat Tittans’ six-wicket victory, Hardik Pandya predicted Sai Sudharsan would accomplish something significant in franchise cricket and perhaps for India in two years.

At No. 1, Sai Sudharsan took the field. When Anrich Nortje, a pacer for the Delhi Capitals, was actively bowling 3, 3. Gujarat was in trouble when they lost captain Hardik and fell to 54 for 3 in their pursuit of 163 as the South African pacer sent back Wriddhiman Saha and Shubman Gill with blistering pace.

However, Sudharsan showed perseverance and maturity by hanging in there during his 53-run stand with fellow Tamil Nadu batter Vijay Shankar.

David Miller entered and quickly took the game by the horns after Shankar left, and Sudharshan was content to take second place. Gujarat finished the chase in the 19th over with Miller still unbeaten on 31 from 16 balls.

By hitting Notje for two massive sixes in the South African paceman’s final over, Sudharsan also demonstrated his powerhouse hitting abilities.

Sudharsan’s performance was expected after a successful Vijay Hazare Trophy season in which the left-hander scored 610 runs, including three hundred, in just eight games. In the Tamil Nadu Premier League, he has also been among the most reliable batters.
