Lucknow Super Giants beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by 1 wicket at Chinnaswamy in the IPL 2023. The stars for Lucknow were Pooran and Stoinis. Royal Challengers Bangalore face yet another defeat this season. It looked like the same old story for RCB.

KL Rahul scored 18 in 20 balls yesterday and defended his knock by saying he played according to the situation.

Cricket fans were not delighted by this statement. Earlier at the jersey launch of LSG, Rahul went on to say that strike rates are overrated.

This once again fumed numerous fans on Twitter considering India had the worst run rate in powerplay at the 2022 T20I WC. KL Rahul feels he played according to the situation, his defensive approach might put the batsman at the other end under pressure.

“I want to score more runs and I think I score more runs, the strike rate goes up. We have played a couple of games in tough wickets in Lucknow. Today we lost 3 wickets so I look at the situation and I felt like I did the right thing and if I could have carried on and stayed there till the end and stayed with Nicky, could’ve won the game a lot easier.”

Once I get some good knocks under my belt I’ll start feeling good and that will go up,” Rahul said in the post-match presentation.Lucknow Super Giants sit at the top of the points table winning 3 out of 4 matches. Their only loss came against CSK where they almost chased a total of 217.

Lucknow Super Giants look stable in every department. Gautam Gambhir was pumped up after winning against RCB, he was seen doing a ”shush’ gesture at the RCB crowd. Avesh Khan was penalised for throwing his helmet while celebrating the victory. Faf Du Plessis was fined 12 Lakh for slow over-rate.
