KL Rahul needs to perform significantly better in the T20 game, according to former England captain Michael Vaughan. According to him, nobody enjoys a batter scoring in the third gear.
Former England captain Michael Vaughan thinks “KL Rahul needs to play better in the T20 format of the game. In an interview with Cricbuzz prior to the Lucknow Super Giants’ innings in the team’s game against Gujarat Titans, Vaughan stated that KL Rahul is a fantastic batter in the longer forms of the game, but he has not yet fully developed as a T20 batter.”
According to the former captain, it has become customary for Indian players to settle in during T20 matches by taking a few balls.

“In both Test and 50-over cricket, KL Rahul is a fantastic batter. I do have some reservations about him in T20 cricket today. I believe he ought to take more chances. I frequently observe Indian players, who require numerous balls in order to enter the game. That modern game is no longer played in T20 cricket,” according to Michael Vaughan on Cricbuzz.
He continued, “We are not in a time where teams only bat with seven batters. Some teams bat with eleven.”
“You have to play with an aggressive sense, and I believe KL has the game for it. We don’t want anyone to score in third gear. He won’t be a Ferrari and fly in fifth gear, but can he bat at fourth gear and start to strike a little bit harder and a little bit earlier in that powerplay?” concluded Vaughan.
