Kyle Mayers, the opener for the Lucknow Super Giants, got out by Gujarat Titans bowler Rashid Khan, who also failed to reach his fifty-run mark. However, it happened in the 51st game of the Indian Premier League 2023, where the Lucknow Super Giant played against the Gujarat Titans and pursued a massive 228 runs.
Kyle Mayers and Quinton de Kock added 88 runs for the first wicket as the LSG openers got off to a great start. Rashid Khan, however, took an incredible catch that dismissed Mayers after he nearly ran 30 meters.
Quinton de Kock and Kyle Mayers gave the Lucknow Super Giants the crucial explosive start they required to pursue the enormous total of 228. At 48, Mayers was batting well. In the first eight overs, he and de Kock had added 88 runs for the first wicket and looked poised to make a big score.
When Mohit Sharma threw an outside off-stump ball in the ninth over, Over Mayers attempted to hit it towards mid-wicket but instead found Rashid Khan in the middle.

Prior to this, Gujarat Titans, who were batting first in the GT vs LSG IPL 2023 match finished their 20 overs at a score of 227/2, with Shubman Gill scoring an unbeaten 94 runs off 51 balls, including two fours and seven sixes. Other than Shubman, Wriddhiman Saha played an inning of 81 runs off just 43 balls, with 10 fours and 4 sixes in it.
Virat Kohli of the RCB was ecstatic with Rashid Khan’s performance, and the fans are still going crazy over the catch. King Kohli posted a video of himself on Instagram watching the GT vs. LSG match on television.
Rashid Khan, who missed a catch earlier and then ran off and dove to catch it, was praised by King Kohli. “I’ve never seen one of the better catches, he said. [Rashid Khan] is brilliant. ”
Following the catch, the Gujarat Titans defeated the Lucknow Super Giants easily as the fielding side only allowed them to score 171/7. Top favourites to advance into the playoffs, the Titans are currently at the top of the standings.
