Shivam Dube thanked his father for giving him enough protein which helped him get this power of clean hitting in the IPL 2023.

“Since childhood, I have had this power. My dad has given me enough protein because he knows what is needed at this level,” Dube said as quoted by India Today.

“It was amazing for me, playing at this stadium, on this wicket and in front of this crowd. I mentioned it before that I back my strengths and that was what was needed today. Definitely, I believe it is not easy to stop me when I get going, that’s what I believe and the team believes.

Shivam Dube has 134 runs in 5 matches this season. Dube is a former player of Royal Challengers Bangalore, his stats at RCB are not up to the mark. But in Chennai, it is a totally different story for Dube. Faf and Maxwell brought RCB into the game. RCB needed 36 off 20 deliveries.

It was a cakewalk for RCB with 6 wickets in hand, but Pathirana’s 18th over was a game-changing one. Dhoni mentioned Dube at post-match presentation saying CSK had certain plans for him. Dube was injured when he came to the CSK camp, so CSK couldn’t do much. Dhoni also said “Dube is someone who can get those extra runs in the middle over”
