In the current T20 league, Deshpande shares the top wicket-taker honours. Siraj has taken 14 wickets at an economy rate of 10.90, joining Rashid Khan of the Gujarat Titans, Mohammed Siraj of Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Arshdeep Singh of the Punjab Kings.

Deshpande, 27, is a player who, according to Gavaskar, doesn’t get discouraged after taking six strikes. Tushar Deshpande has proven he is up to the task of bowling for CSK under pressure and in life-or-death situations.

Following a 32-run victory over the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), the Super Kings ascended to the top of the standings. However, their loss to Sanju Samson’s Rajasthan Royals (RR) dropped them to fourth place in the standings.

On Sunday, April 30 at Chepauk, CSK will play its following game against Shikhar Dhawan’s PBKS.
