The Chennai Super Kings lost by three runs to the Rajasthan Royals on Wednesday, April 12, but Suresh Raina paid tribute to MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja for their valour.
Jos Buttler scored fifty runs, and Devdutt Padikkal, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Shimron Hetmyer all made significant contributions to RR’s total of 175 runs in their 20 overs.
Ruturaj Gaikwad’s early loss put CSK’s innings in jeopardy, hampering their chances of success. After calming the situation, Ajinkya Rahane and Devon Conway began scoring frequently.
As the RR bowlers put the breaks on the innings, Ashwin returned to get Rahane’s wicket, which caused the CSK run chase to lose steam. The odds were against the four-time IPL Champions, but Dhoni and Jadeja ultimately teamed up.
The two players kept the contest exciting, brought it to a close with some powerful blows, and nearly secured a victory for CSK. Eventually, RR managed to win.
In the losing effort, Dhoni scored 32 points off of 17 while Jadeja scored 25 points off of 15 and remained unbeaten. Former CSK batter Raina praised their performance and dubbed them the best duo ever.

The CSK batters were harshly criticized by Dhoni after the game and told to take responsibility for the defeat. The batters should take responsibility for the loss because it wasn’t that difficult, according to Dhoni.
