IPL 2023‘s SRH vs MI matchup saw Mumbai Indians rookie Tilak Varma reveal the mantra that India greats Sachin Tendulkar and Rohit Sharma had taught him.
The mantra given to Tilak Varma by Sachin Tendulkar, a legend in India was made public. According to Tilak Varma, the management of the MI team has always been on his side.
One of the Mumbai Indians’ go-to men in times of trouble is Tilak Varma.
Tilak participated in his first IPL game in Hyderabad and has dazzled everyone with his outstanding batting performances in the current IPL 2023.
The 20-year-old hitter from Hyderabad was signed by Mumbai Indians to represent the team in the IPL 2022 auction. For MI in the IPL 2023, Tilak had a number of outstanding hits that won praise from all corners of the cricketing community.

“I can play in any situation with ease. I’ve been practising my game while taking into account every scenario. I always reassure management that I am capable of batting anywhere and in any circumstance. They are therefore also confident, which is why they send me up to bat,” he said.
Tilak, who had a restless night and was looking forward to the “home game” against SRH, also said he would be happy to bat at any position for his team.
Tilak claimed that because of his preparation, work ethic and physical condition, he was always at ease in any position in the batting order.
“Washington Sundar and Mayank Markande were bowling effectively as Washy and Mayu. We have a lengthy batting lineup, so I didn’t want to miss an over. I am happy because I charged my tank and travelled in the direction I wanted”.
“I never feel like I’m playing the IPL or any other tournament for the first time because of the way the team (Mumbai Indians) treats me,” the player said.
And to end on a fitting note, he discussed the advice he received from his mentors. “Sachin sir advised me to maintain a level head whether I scored runs or not. Put a smile on your face and give everything you have to what you are doing, Rohit Sir advised, and everything else will fall into place”.
