In the IPL 2023 championship match against Gujarat Titans (GT) on May 29 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) displayed outstanding composure under pressure.
In the rain-delayed matches, CSK needed 14 runs off the final over to reach the revised 171-run target in 15 overs. GT pacer Mohit Sharma delivered four outstanding yorkers, preventing the batters from hitting a boundary.
It came down to 10 off the final two balls in the equation. The penultimate ball was hit by Jadeja for a solid six down the ground, displaying his class. On the final pitch, Sharma made a mistake by hitting the southpaw in the pads.
In order to win the championship for the fifth time, Chennai needed a thrilling five-wicket victory (DLS method), and the CSK batter was able to hit a boundary toward fine-leg. After the game, many fans praised Jadeja for his bravery in the most important game of the year on social media.

Notably, Ravindra Jadeja reached 15 off just six balls to maintain his perfect record. Devon Conway led Chennai in scoring with 47 runs in 25 balls. Ambati Rayudu (19), Shivam Dube (32*), Ajinkya Rahane (27), Ruturaj Gaikwad (26), and others also contributed with useful knocks.
