Virat Kohli became the first player to ever set a historical record while competing for RCB against DC. When he scored 12 runs in New Delhi, the former RCB captain became the first player to score 7000 runs in the IPL.

Prior to this game, he had scored 6988 runs in 233 games, making him the IPL’s all-time leading run-scorer. Kohli has also amassed five centuries and 49 fifties in his IPL career.

He broke the IPL record for most runs scored by a batter in 2021 when he scored 6000. And he did it again in 2019 when he passed Suresh Raina to score 5000.
