In the 15th season of the lucrative league, former Indian pacer Ashish Nehra, who turns 44 today is currently the head coach of Gujarat Titans, an IPL team making its debut.

Ashish Nehra, a left-arm pacer, had to wait until 2001 to make his ODI debut against Zimbabwe in Harare. His 157 wickets came from 120 games played. The 2003 World Cup match against England marked the high point in the career of the Delhi pacer, who went 6 for 23.

Ashish Nehra is currently commentating after quitting cricket, and he also serves as the IPL bowling coach for Royal Challengers Bangalore.

In the 1997–98 season, Nehra debuted for his home team Nehra Nagar in Delhi. Tariq Sinha taught Nehra how to play cricket. Against Sri Lanka in Colombo in 1999, Nehra made his Test debut. Against Zimbabwe in Harare in 2001, he made his ODI debut. Nehra was the sole victim of Mervan Attapattu in his Test debut game.

Ashish Nehra, a former Indian fast bowler, participated in 17 Test matches for his country. He has 44 wickets. He has run up 80 runs during this period. In 120 ODIs, he has 157 wickets to his credit.

His six wickets for 23 runs best performance during that period. He has also run for 141 runs during this period. Nehra has also represented India in 27 T20 international matches. He has 34 wickets. Nehra has twice in ODI cricket taken five wickets in a single innings.
